Jane has created two tapes for children: healing bedtime messages and original stories filled with delight and magic.

Nighttime Messages for Children
Send your little ones on a sleepy-time journey to an inner realm where unconditional love, wisdom, healing power, safety and peace are always available to them. On side two, Jane’s soothing affirmations of the child’s essential goodness, possibilities, safety and love are blended with Ron Meyers’ lullabies, weaving a reassuring bedtime blanket of mother-father love. Parents have been amazed at how successful this has been in getting their children to sleep. One parent laughed that she would swear she heard Jane’s voice in the night, only to realize her child had awakened and simply turned her player back on. A grandmother reported that two years after buying the tape for her grandsons, they were still listening to it nightly, even on camping trips! ($10)

Chicita and Other Tales:
This is a set of original tales told by the author in a delightfully dramatic style.  The stories, aimed at elementary age children, have male and female characters that are both strong and sensitive, and myths that are more appropriate for our times, without sacrificing good storytelling style.  Jane worked as a weekly volunteer in the classroom for several years honing her narrative skills with young people. • “Chicita” was always the children’s favorite, when Jane told stories at school, and they joined in the chorus with gusto.  It’s the story of the conflict between a little girl, who loves mud puddles, and her mother, who loves to dress the child in frilly white dresses.  The resolution of this conflict is playful and delightful to children and adults.
• “The Hair Weavers” is the story of the grandson of the Swamp Fairy and the Toad King and how he learned to find the magic inside of himself and use it for good. The princess that he rescues is a strong woman who encourages him to trust his magic.  This story grew out of an episode at school where a little boy was plucking hairs from the girls and putting them in a jar!
• “The Goblin Moon Child” is the story of a girl who, after learning how to accept all the parts of herself, is crowned ruler of a land that, under her leadership, becomes known for honoring all people and celebrating their diverse gifts.

“The Hand Dancer” tells of a crippled, mute girl who looks at life with eyes of gratitude and finds her special gift.
