the Happy movie showing in Bend, Oregon

Did you know that February 11, 2012 is World Happy Day? Why do we need such a day?

Simple.

Happy People = Happy World
World HAPPY Day inspires action for increasing happiness in our own lives and in the world. A growing body of research shows that happy people are healthier and live longer. They are more likely to care for the environment and less likely to commit crimes or go to war. Happy people helps others more often… and are more likely to find creative solutions. Increasing happiness benefits us as individuals and communities in infinite ways and is a goal worth sharing.

Happiness is our right, according to the U.S. Declaration of Independence, yet many of us find it an elusive quality. Recently Dr. Andrew Weil came to Bend to talk about the findings in his new book, Spontaneous Happiness. Why is happiness hard to find?

To celebrate World Happy Day, Positive Life Connections and Mentor Research Institute are bringing a new film on the subject called the Happy movie to Bend, OR on Saturday, Feb 11. There will be two showings: one at 2:00 and one at 6:30 at the High Desert Community Grange on Powell Butte Highway. Tickets are $5. Enjoy wholesome family entertainment that will help us all be more happy! (For additional ideas on how to be happy, click here!)

This movie is directed by Roko Beluc, whose first movie garnered an award from the Sundance Film Festival in 1999 as well as an Academy Award nomination. The Executive Producer is Tom Shadyac who most recently wrote and directed the film I Am (as well as more popular movies like Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty).

One ticket-$5
